“Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. This is the war of the future.”- Adolf Hitler

Gunshots, the ringing in the ears of innocents, the screams of children, tear stained cheeks caked with dirt and ash… the images of the aftermath of terrorism will never fail to bring a tear to your eyes. Terrorism is the use of violence by certain organized groups to instil fear in the hearts of common people to forward their agendas. Terrorist organizations are highly dangerous and organized associations consisting of highly volatile and often brainwashed individuals. Terrorism does not conform itself to any religion or ethnicity but to a rigid set of beliefs. Terrorist organizations don’t only use fear and intimidation tactics on the people of the world but also on their own recruits and members, often brainwashing them to a point of mental slavery.

Although there is no internationally agreed consensus as to what constitutes a “soft target”, the term is used to define public places or people vulnerable to attacks caused by lone wolfs or terrorist organizations. These locations are usually filled with large masses of general public so as to instil them with intense everlasting fears giving terrorist enormous amounts of causalities and omnipresent propaganda.

An introductory speech began today with all the countries displaying their views on how they have been dissuading terrorism. They all had many ideologies, facts and statistics of different terrorist attacks in the fate of respective countries with never ending and jaw dropping amount of people dying, destroyed infrastructure the economical breakdown and the caused inflation.

All of the countries had their own different ways of handling the circumstances and avoiding causalities. Some were into Artificial Intelligence to mark the red flags, some others were into blockchain technologies for the flow of currency and never-ending top-notch technologies. But is this enough because these terrorist organizations cannot be neglected. With the advent of the dark web, the spread of terrorism has become more widespread than ever as the ideologies, the beliefs, the tactics and the lifestyle of these organizations is showcased for all the world to see. Furthermore, the dark web grants free and easy access to these individuals or anyone and everyone who knows how to operate a computer. . Terrorist organizations like ISIS, Lashkar, Al Qaida tend to generate chemical engineers, cyber hackers AI specialists graduates from IITs, MITs and the most elite colleges over the world. So this technological battle is a never ending war which will keep on failing.

As the famous quote says “If you fight terrorism, it’s based on fear. If you promote peace and unity it’s based on hope.”

We are at a time where our year started with the predictions of World War 3 and countries having hauteur amongst each other which will only lead to increase in viscosity of nuclear weapons, illegal funding to these organizations, spontaneous attacks causing enormous amounts of loss, leading to the destruction of world.

“We stand united with the people around the world who have been targeted by terrorists from a school in Pakistan to the streets of Paris”-Barack Obama

We, as the people of this generation have the responsibility to protect the peace, beauty and integrity of this world from the people who have forgotten the sanity and have lost their wits. The infectious disease of violence cannot be cured by spreading it to more people.
